Peter entered the legal profession through the old fashioned route: after gaining A-Levels at St Joseph’s College, Blackpool and completing Parts 1 and 2 of the Law Society Exams at Liverpool Law College, he became an articled clerk with Ingham Clegg & Crowther (as it then was) in 1968. He qualified in 1973 and became a Partner in 1977.
Peter initially moved from the Blackpool office of Ingham Clegg & Crowther to Cleveleys where he worked with his principal, Frank Roberts, and established a good family law practice together with some litigation. He then moved in 1983 to Fleetwood where he has developed a fairly substantial client base in property, wills and probate, conveyancing, landlord and tenant and commercial work.
Peter was Managing Partner of the Fleetwood Office for over 20 years and became Senior Partner in 2015. He retired from the partnership at the end of June 2017 and works as a consultant.
Peter’s main interests, in view of his age, are now restricted to watching football and rugby (his main passion) and playing some golf. He also enjoys fell walking , gardening and, when his wife permits, some cooking.
